Regional Recruitment Hub

This Hub has been developed to provide information, advice and guidance on international recruitment to the adult social care sector. It has been developed for both providers of adult social care and councils operating in the West Midlands and offers Free advice


This programme of support for international recruitment is being co-ordinated by West Midlands ADASS, working in partnership with West Midlands Employers, councils and the independent provider sector.

FREE International Recruitments DBSs

We are pleased to announce that the Care Association has been successful in a funding bid from the DHSC International Recruitment Fund that will allow us to offer free DBS for any of your new international recruits.


Starting from the 1st November 2023 any new DBS searches for international recruits that you put on our DBS system that meet the criteria will be free of charge

Buddying Scheme

£1200 grant to support buddying activities


International Recruitment has a different set of challenges compared to recruiting from within the UK, particularly in ensuring that the new recruits feel welcomed and are able to access pastoral support


West Midlands Care Association has secured funding to support buddying activities for international recruits within your organisations.  This is to allow you the time to provide the pastoral care that ensures international recruitment is a success


Care providers located within the following local authorities will be able to apply for a small cash grant to support buddying activities within their locations:


Birmingham

Dudley

Herefordshire

Sandwell

Walsall

Wolverhampton

Worcestershire
