Budgets in the Care Industry are notoriously tight and West Midlands Care Association have taken the initiative to help you make the most out of them by working closely with Spectrum Consortium over the last few months to drive down the costs and it is envisaged that members will save thousands of pounds on their annual budget by switching to Spectrum terms.
How?
Spectrum is owned and directed by care home owners. After 17 years of working in the Care Industry, they are confident that they have access to the best suppliers and the highest quality products at the right price. They also believe that the role of the purchasing partner should not be limited to providing competitive prices, but rather to work closely with members to help them achieve their individual requirements. Their membership currently consists of over 1,300 providers and each of these providers receives the same terms, regardless of the size of their home or indeed the type of care provided (domiciliary, learning disabilities, nursing, etc.). They also have office-based companies within their membership who benefit enormously from the terms that they have with Lyreco Stationery.
How joining Spectrum has helped Care Providers
A small care group in the North of England joined and is using Bidfood, Care Shop, Zenth, Thomas Ridley, Biffa, Alexandra, Avanta and Care First. They have rated the service as Excellent. They appreciated the use of Spectrum to resolve queries, their helpful staff and dedicated account manager with priority service.
The estimated that they saved about £50,000.
Another small group reported that the main benefit was an improved service from suppliers, which can be just as valuable.
